Unique Headshots/Portrait in Downtown Cleveland

Are you looking for new and interesting places to shoot, you'll definitely want to check out Playhouse Square. It's full of Hidden Gems just waiting to be discovered! Did you know that Playhouse Square was originally built in the early 1900s as a vaudeville theater, but eventually fell into disrepair, but were saved from demolition in the 1970s. Luckily Playhouse Square was saved and is one of the largest theater districts in America. Like the Great White Way in NYC, there are many lights which makes a great background for a portrait or headshot especially if you are an actor or musician. Here is some more information about Playhouse Square in Cleveland.

You might not know this, but the chandelier in Playhouse Square is one of the most iconic pieces of Cleveland history. The chandelier was originally installed in the 1920s as part of the then-newly built Playhouse Square theaters. The chandelier became a symbol of hope during the Great Depression, when people would gather beneath it to listen to speeches and concerts. The chandelier was even featured in an episode of The Drew Carey Show! In recent years, the chandelier has undergone a few renovations, including being fitted with LED lights in 2013. So it is always shining. The chandelier makes a great backdrop for your portrait or headshot. Here are a couple of pics that were recently shot. There is more than just the chandelier to use as a background. for your portrait or headshot pictures. You can find plenty of options, from dramatic angles to get a portrait or headshot you love, to dynamic dance-related shots. What About Taking Pictures at Night?

If you or your photographer taking night shots in Playhouse Square, you'll want to make sure that you utilize the existing light sources as best as possible. If you're taking a portrait or headshot, seek out those restaurants and buildings that have neon signs or well-lit windows. This will add a certain sparkle and texture to your photos that can elevate them from good to great. Street lights can also play a part in giving your own scene its own mood - so always be on the lookout for ways to incorporate every available source of light! Whatever camera you are using, you probably want to use an extra light source, whether it is a flash on or off your camera or a led light, you can set your camera settings very similar to daylight. The problem is that if you don’t use one, your camera uses settings that could create what photographers call noise. Basically this makes the picture look a little fuzzy.

The pictures on the blog illustrate what can be done! Whether your looking for a unique headshot, especially if you’re an actor, or want a unique portrait, Playhouse Square  is a great place. Click the book now and let us create some magic with you.
